RS 125
The RS 125 contactor starter is made in a fireproof casing and allows for controlling one 90kW (500V) maximum power engine or two 45kW (500V) maximum power engines.
The apparatus is equipped with safety devices protecting against: short-circuits, load asymmetry, overload, main channel low insulation resistance, short circuits, high resistance and control circuit interruptions, high earthing resistance, incorrect supply voltage phase sequence (option).
The operation status of internal circuits and tripping of safety devices are signalled by means of LED indicators. The starter is also equipped with easy to read digital current meter, one for each output.

Application
The contactor starters are designed for controlling and powering electrical engines of mining driver systems from three-phase supply networks with the transformer's insulated neutral point on the secondary side.
The contactor starters meet to requirements of the European Directive 94/9/EC (ATEX) for equipment in group I, category M2, and can be used in methane and coal dust exsplosion hazardous areas of underground mines.

Design
The contactor starters are made in a flameproof housing. Devices are fitted with protective devices against:
- short circuits,
- load asymmetry,
- overload,
- main channel low insulation resistance,
- short circuits, high resistance and control circuit interruptions,
- high earthing resistance
- incorrect power voltage phase sequence (optionally).
The starters can optionally be fitted with phase sequence control system which is specifically important when powering pumps as incorrect engine rotation may cause damage to the device.
